Charles Lawson, Forge Property Director, with Snitch.

If you’ve been following Forge Property Consultants in the media recently you’ll know that we’re commited to all things ‘green’ – (always with the aim of representing the voice of the landowner and maintaining a positive balance between conservation and good land management practices). The latest addition to the Forge team is ‘Snitch’ – a rescue hedgehog who we’re looking after over the winter.

Snitch joined the team as a result of Forge Property Consultants becoming involved with Shropshire Wildlife Trust, and specifically the Meres & Mosses Business Enterprise Network which exists to raise awareness of the unique habitats of the meres and mosses of Shropshire and Cheshire. The Forge team are looking forward to getting involved in some practical projects with the Wildlife Trust, the first of which is to foster ‘Snitch’ (named by Charles’s daughter after the golden ball in the game of quidditch – of Harry Potter fame!) over the winter. There are thought to be less than a million hedgehogs in the wild in the UK so we’re certainly doing our bit to make sure Snitch is well looked after.

Forge Property Consultants’ Tom Mason says, “I can’t believe how much Snitch eats – he gets through a whole pouch of cat food a day!”.

If you’d like to get involved, you don’t have to physically foster an animal… You can find out more about Wildlife Adoption at: www.shropshirewildlifetrust.org.uk/wildlifeadoption
