This month, Forge Property Consultants are delighted to be welcoming our newest recruit into the team! Frances Hitchen is our new placement student who will be taking the role of assistant surveyor for the next 12 months. She takes over from Andy Lowe who has occupied this role for the past year but it’s finally time for Andy to go back to finish his degree at Harper Adams University. We’re sad to see Andy go as he’s been an integral part of the Forge team but we thank him for all of his hard work and wish him all the very best in the future.

Frances: “I have just started my placement year at Forge Property Consultants which forms part of my Rural Property Management degree which I study at Harper Adams University. I have completed my first and second years at Harper with good grades so I’m looking forward to taking back as much knowledge with me to help with my final year in September 2018.
I have been a member of Young Farmers for around five years now and I have been the club treasurer for the past two years with just a short break in the middle. We have done many charity events and I have just recently organised our second dinner dance which went extremely well. Having been involved in farming and all things agricultural from a young age I am pleased to be able to draw on this knowledge and experience to help with the rural nature of the work at Forge.
I will mainly be based in the Oswestry office which isn’t far from home and I will be taking over from Andy Lowe. I will be starting out with property management work both locally and further afield before moving into other areas of the business as required. The opportunity to gain exposure to all areas of the business is important but working alongside such a tightknit and supportive team also gives me confidence that I really will be able to get the most out of my placement year.”
