Forge team back in onesies for the Scafell Pike Hike!
In our last newsletter we promised we’d keep you posted on our charity fundraising efforts this year. As you know we are supporting the Buddy Bag Foundation and Derwen College this year and we have decided that our big event of the year will take our previous efforts to the next level! Our previous adventure up Snowdon was tough enough in our onesies, but this time we are taking on Scafell Pike in the Lake District. Due to the winter weather conditions, we will be confirming a spring date for this and will keep you updated once full details have been confirmed.
Meanwhile… back in the office…
Mr Mean is a new face at Forge and he is our debt collector! He keeps us in check and makes sure we keep on top of washing our coffee cups at the end of each day. If we forget to do it, Mr Mean demands payment the next day. All debts collected will be added to funds raised for our charities for this year!
I’m glad to say that he isn’t getting full very quickly but every little helps!
Frances’ Hair Chop
We would also like to acknowledge the bravery of our placement student Frances who kindly had 35 cm’s of hair chopped off for the Little Princess Trust. This charity provides specialist real hair children’s wigs for children who have lost their hair during treatment for cancer and other illnesses. Frances had beautiful long hair but we love her new do and we’re extremely impressed and proud of her efforts to support such a worthy cause. It’s not too late to donate: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/frances-hitchen
As well as our Scafell Pike Hike, we will be doing various charity bits and pieces between now and next summer, if you would like to get involved do let us know!
If you would like to support any of our causes, we would be delighted to hear from you so please do get in contact with us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
